The week's work is done!!!

There is such a satisfied feeling in knowing your work is DONE for the week!!!

  This time I feel so much more "ready" for this snowstorm moving in again!!!     The bathroom is all done except for the wall decorations, I have 2 friends that are stopping in next week sometime and giving some helpful advice on what or how to do it!!!       

  The first night when Jessica came home from school and saw it she was like, "Mom, it's so elegant, it looks just like it should be a room in a rich man's house!"   So I really don't want to lose that look!!!

   The laundry is all caught up, there's extra water saved (in case of no electric), there's actually food in the frig, the house is all nice and clean(for right now), the boots, hats and gloves are all dry (until the next snow) and actually stuck away where they belong and the mat in front of the stove is mud-free(for the time being), the kitchen floor is nicely mopped (until tomorrow), the 3 guys have all had their haircuts, (which should have been done a week or 2 earlier)!!!

   I do believe it sounds like some good scrapbooking time!!!

Will do more updates on the"NEW" bathroom as soon as it is ALL done!!!!

    I guess if you've waited this long-You'll just have to wait awhile longer as now I want to wait until it's all done before I post any more pictures!!

      I do believe I really like it! Not that everyone agrees with me, tho!!

  The house was so dirty from all the sawing and stuff going on that I decided instead of just taking off the top layer, I should just deep clean!!!! Oh, I just hate to clean and you can really tell by how the corners look-but I figured if no one sees it anyhow whats the point of cleaning it!!!!

   But mom had come up and was helping clean and about mid-morn the electric goes off-so ceiling, walls and everything was cleaned down to the floor and stayed that way until last night when it went back on around 7, so after I got home believe I didnot go to bed until I was all caught up, So now laundry is done there are buckets of water filled to use again in case of power failure, there is clean drinking water and the house sparkles once again!!!!

   Now this evening there is a date in the making with my husband as our 14th Anni. last week sorta came and went and we didn't do anything special cuz of everything else going on.......

All this snow and ice has been lots of fun and I'm still not really ready for summer!!!

Was gonna post this last night and could NOT get on-line, so here's the update for yest!!!And it was also after 11:00 before I was done and could go take a shower-- I was bushed!!!

   The second day!!!

 Mr. Carpenter cutting holes in the wall to stuff in insulation--would you believe it, there was nothing in these walls for insulation--no wander the bathroom was always so COLD!!!!   Even if the termites had done all that damage on the walls between the wall and sheetrock, there was no damage done in by the 2x4's!!!!

The noise was just a little LOUD!! But we still had to watch-

The end of the first day---   I tore all this out today myself!! Iwas actually sorta proud of myself for getting it down looking like this!!!

  Tomorrow we begin the second phase and as for now I am...sooo....tired!!!  Someone please take a shower for me and carry me to bed!!

    This weekend was sooo much fun!!!(once again)  AND very profitable, I might add!!!  Where we scrapbooked and slept!

   There's a LOT of benefit to leaving and going to scrapbook uninterrupted (for the most part) and just doing something you love to do!!!  All the little things add to it--laughter with friends, snacks, no phones ringing, no meals to make........... My partner in crime

   I got all the pictures done that I had taken along, which I was quite surprised about and was so glad that at the last minute stuck in a few extra packs "just in case" I need them, Boy, was I ever glad I had!!!

   Why is it that when you have sore throat and can hardly talk out loud that everybody's hearing is at it's worse????     And then you have to repeat your things several times and the whole while it sounded plenty LOUD to you!!!   In fact, for the last couple of days everything sounded plenty LOUD!!!!!    Don't know when the last time was that I got a head/sinus cold like I've had since Sun. eve.    I have been desparately taking anything and everything to get over it before we leave to go scrapbooking  from tomorrow noon until Sat. eve.!!!! YES, YES!!!! I am sooo looking forward to it!!!

   And now to top it all off  my little babysitting girl walks in this morn. and was hardly here before she pukes all over the chair she was sitting on!! In fact, her mom was still here and had no clue she or anyone she had been around was sick, so we decided it was nothing to worry about,  I took her and fed her some pretzels after I had taken the cushions all off and started a load of laundry!! It wasn't very long before  up come the pretzels and water all over the other couch and it's cushions!!! And so now she has on the third set of clothes for the day and has basically parked herself in front of the stove on a blanket except for the occ. trip to the kitchen for a sip of sprite!!!!

  She doesn't seem to have a fever!

   Just a little bit ago her mom called and said there's several in her family  sick and throwing up today!!! OH BOY!!!! And I plan on leaving tomorrow????        

   This evening after Jessica and Cody came home from school they were feeling quite creative!!  They decided they were gonna make something w/o a recipe?????   They didn't really have anything in mind -just started dumping--first off they put crushed pretzels in the mixer and added a cup of water!!! whoa, by then I decided it would be better if I just left the kitchen and I'm sure they were more comfortable with that too!!       (Lucky for them Margaret called and wondered about going on a walk!)    When I got back they were all excited about what had come out of the oven!!!  "Mom, it's actually good to eat!!" 

   I do know that some salt, vinegar, sugar, 2 eggs, flour and baking powder were some of the ingredients besides the pretzels and water!!! Oh yes they sprinkled some sugar over the top before baking, that was the icing they thot!!!!

  And yes, it is edible and actually a little good!!!

  Who knows we might have a budding gourmet cook residing here!!!

  Today was such a nice day!! Temp. close to 60 by this afternoon!

  Decided at about 10:30 to run to town for a treatment and also drop off the balance at my scrapbooking consultant for the retreat that is coming up!!!  Well I get there reach for my pen to write out the check and could NOT find one anywhere in my vehicle or purse!! So I thot well maybe she is at home, I'll go see, no such luck-was just walking out to leave and go borrow a pen at the next place (as I was desperate to drop it off TODAY!!!)   When who should drive up but my dear SIL also dropping off her balance for that wkend!!!!!

  Talk about "before they call I will answer"  I borrowed her pen and dropped both checks off in her box before  leaving!!!!!!  If we would have tried to meet there that close, one or the other would surely have had to wait on the other!!!!  BTW found a pen in my billfold later on! I must be getting old!!!

   Then made quite a few other stops and was trying to hurry to make it back to school to pick up the children when who did I follow out of town but my  in-laws!!! They were just returning after having been gone for over 2 weeks, What timing!!

  Good Morning!!!

 What a beautiful dreary-looking morning, everything looks really wet and its only 45*, quite a contrast from last week!!

  I started working on Lisa's pictures day before yest. she also had so many loose ones laying around and so I'm putting those altogether by families and also have  about a 5 inch stack then to do for her yet!!  Before long I'll run into the problem of not knowing who is who, so guess she'll have to come spend the day again to help on those!!

  For those of you who remember that in April of 2008 we went to Alaska for about 2 weeks and towards the end of our vacation, got hit by a motorcyclist (you can read about it   http://www.xanga.com/private/yourhome.aspx?user=flowergirl_5&nextdate=4%2f20%2f2008+23%3a59%3a59.999 here)

  Well last Dec. a year ago this guy decides that he'd get some easy money out of the deal and sued us for 25,000!!!!!!! Thankfully thats where insurance kicks in!   I got called upteen times from a lawyer in a Alaska that was representing us to go over and over about where we were at and how we had been parked and how close to the curb we were and any other little detail that you never pay any attention to at a time like that and then you try to remember something that happened that long ago! You finally get just a little confused!!! 

  The silly thing was we had our camera laying right there and never took the first picture, which would have saved us quite a bit of headache!      

   There was never a police that showed up when this happened as they were out the other direction working an accident and they said to just go write a report at the police station when we get back to town and all the while this guy just keeps on apoligizing and saying how its all his fault!!! And how he's so sorry for messing up our vacation!!! puh!! so much for sincerity!!

  Well so this was gonna go to court the last week of this month and we find out about a week ago that if it does we HAVE to be!!!!! Now if you don't think that started making me nervous, the only cool thing about the whole thing was it would be an all-expense paid trip!!! The plane fares, food, motel, car rental and everything!!!  But then they said it would take like the whole week!! Whew, testifing in court seemed like the very last thing I wanted to do!!  After several phone calls from up there and they said that their last offer to him was 7,000 and if he doesn't take it by 5:00 wed. eve. we have to come!!! Well by late Tues. eve. They called back and said it's all off, he's accepted!!!!!  Boy, talk about the calming of the nerves!!!

  I do not enjoy talking in front of people and even teaching adult sunday school classes or even having dev. at the sewing has me sweatin' and this rated up there above that yet!!!!

  But as always God had it all under control and worked it all out--I told Paul a really cool thing would be if we'd end up having to go up there and then it would all get thrown out!!!  A free vacation and no sweatin'!!!!

JUST TO LET YA KNOW THE BATHROOM CAME TO A QUICK HALT THIS EVE. AS "THE BOYFRIEND AND HIS GIRLFRIEND" PERSUE OTHER INTERESTS FOR THE DAY!!!!
